Hania Rani is a pianist, composer and musician who, was born in Gdansk and splits her life between Warsaw, where she makes
her home, and Berlin
Her new album, the expansive, cinematic, ‘Home’, is rebased on May 29th and finds Rani expanding her palate: adding vocals and subtle electronics to her music as well as being joined on some tracks by bassist Ziemowit Klimek and drummer Wojtek Warmijak.

Maybe one of the best minimalistic cinematic music around... Sometimes the clarinet tears your heart, as the deep piano bass makes you climb down the "Spiral stairs" which makes you fall into some cotton dreams just before you get in a "Floating World", while the beat transform your thought "Into sparks"... A must have. Can't wait for the other LP... Did I said thank you to you guys ?...

Such a beautifully crafted album. Such intense rich weaving of sounds and feelings. It’s one of those albums you are happy to share at the same time want to keep as a personal secret. Amazing stuff by Mr Halsall. I suggest anyone reading this to spend some time in his early stuff too. Song to Charlie is monumental.
